Independence and Conflicts Policy
AI ScanLab provides independent analytical and evaluation services.
The credibility of an evaluation depends upon maintaining a clear separation between evaluation, implementation, remediation, and commercial interests.
Independence of Evaluation
AI ScanLab retains independent control over:
- assessment scope
- analytical methodology
- evaluation procedures
- interpretation of evidence
- findings
- conclusions
- final reporting
No client, technology provider, implementation partner, referral source, or other third party may condition an AI ScanLab conclusion upon a preferred commercial or technical outcome.
Third Party Introductions
AI ScanLab may accept professional introductions from technology companies, consultancies, law firms, advisers, research organizations, clients, or other third parties.
Such an introduction does not create a partnership, endorsement, agency relationship, or preferential analytical treatment.
A referred client is evaluated under the same independence requirements and professional standards as any other client.
Implementation and Remediation
AI ScanLab’s independent evaluation activity is separate from implementation and remediation.
AI ScanLab does not systematically recommend a specific implementation provider to clients whose systems or materials it has independently evaluated.
Clients remain responsible for selecting any engineering, legal, compliance, consulting, or remediation providers they may require.
Financial Independence
AI ScanLab does not accept compensation that depends upon:
- a particular evaluation finding
- a particular assessment result
- the identification of a particular risk
- the selection of a specific remediation provider
- the award of implementation work resulting from an AI ScanLab evaluation
Conflicts of Interest
Potential conflicts relevant to the independence of an engagement are evaluated before acceptance.
AI ScanLab may decline or limit an engagement where an existing commercial, professional, financial, or personal relationship could reasonably compromise the independence or credibility of the evaluation.
Client Responsibility
AI ScanLab provides evidence and independent analytical findings.
The client retains responsibility for operational, technical, commercial, legal, regulatory, and remediation decisions arising from those findings.
